Welcome to the Kiwanis Club of Fremont

Who are we?

The Kiwanis Club of Fremont was founded in 1955. We are an active, vibrant community service club serving the local Tri-City community. Our membership includes fun-loving, caring, community leaders who are local residents, retired people, and working folks from a wide range of businesses. Our members are committed to the well-being of the youth, families, and senior citizens of Fremont, Newark, and Union City.  We share one common goal: the dedication of time, resources, and talent to serve the Children and Community of Fremont and the local Tri-Cities Area.

Our Mission

The Kiwanis Club of Fremont’s purpose is to serve community needs, especially the needs of children by volunteering in service projects or offering financial assistance to the best of our abilities. The Objects of Kiwanis are our guiding principles.  Through our investment of time, talent and resources for local children and our community, our goal is to create a better tomorrow, nurture minds, fuel discovery, and impact the future of the lives we touch.

Projects & Outreach

We partner with our Key Clubs to conduct many of our projects.  Key Club is a Kiwanis Sponsored Youth group at the High School level and students work hand in hand with us to perform community service, develop leadership skills, and have fun working together to achieve a goal.

Meetings & Events

We meet on the second and fourth Tuesdays of every month at the Double Tree Hotel in Newark, CA.  For 1.5 hours we plan our upcoming projects, socialize, share a meal, and meet with local leaders who are invited, informational, and inspirational speakers who share topics they are expert on.  Join us at one of our upcoming meetings to see us in action and to get to know us better.

Here is a quick video that explains what Kiwanis is.
